Question: anyone was aware that Tom Cruise shaved off the coast of 20 years or to be in this film? OK, I'm not serious, but I could not help but notice and get completely distracted by how Colin Egglesfield looks scarily Tom Cruise - I want to say really looks like him.
I had a friend of mine text me in the morning to see if I could join it in a movie and lunch. Catches have been, she wanted to see something borrowed. I was at stake. She was happy. We started watching the film and for a few minutes that I was interested and then Colin Egglesfield, Dex, came on the screen and I couldn't stop comparing this other actor I mention.
So it is odd how it looks like him, but what is worse is that they have similar mannerisms too - as the away talking about look blankly and then right person for the last three words to really make his point. Transport Canada is that all the time. Or when he raises his eyebrows when he said things like "OK". It is much more, but I will refrain. I could dwell too much on this, and I confess I know too well of Mannerism of Tom Cruise, but I looked at him in the films for 30 years. There is a tendency to remember the quirks of the people - or at least make.
Anyway, back to the film. In all, something borrowed is just a good movie. (It is based on the novel of the same name written by Emily Griffin). It is neither here nor there. The main character, played by Ginnifer Goodwin, appeared to be the same character, it plays always - pathetic friend who obtained a dumping but attempts to do the right thing, even if it is not. Kate Hudson a kind of play a character who is not her usual, but he did remind me exactly his role in Bride Wars. She is selfish, search for attention and think that the world revolves around it. And these two people are supposed to be best friends?
Don't even get started me the role of Colin - you know what I think already except to say that his character was a WIMP. But I will say that the other male role in something borrowed, John Krasinski made this tolerable film. It is sweet, charming and funny. I therefore want to see more of this character, and something tells me that we may be. (FYI: If you see this - stay with credits).
My favorite part: John Krasinski. It was really a few funny lines.
My least favorites: I am not the best friend relationship where there is so much of themselves and the other gets walked on by them.
Previews show too? Yes and no. many funny lines have shown, but not all.
Rating: PG - 13
Duration: 103 minutes
Random thought: you see how I have been distracted by look-a-like, but my friend kept noticed how of different styles and colours were Kate Hudson of the character nails from scene to scene. I note that. Thus, we have all the things that distract us. Also, perhaps you like Tom Cruise and can take advantage of someone else looks and acts like him. Or you like nails... Thus, you'll like this film.
