Film critic - something borrowed

Directed by Luke Greenfield, 2 Films, 2011. Starring Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin Egglesfield and John Krasinski.

Genre: Comedy, drama, Romance.

Question: anyone was aware that Tom Cruise shaved off the coast of 20 years or to be in this film? OK, I'm not serious, but I could not help but notice and get completely distracted by how Colin Egglesfield looks scarily Tom Cruise - I want to say really looks like him.

I had a friend of mine text me in the morning to see if I could join it in a movie and lunch. Catches have been, she wanted to see something borrowed. I was at stake. She was happy. We started watching the film and for a few minutes that I was interested and then Colin Egglesfield, Dex, came on the screen and I couldn't stop comparing this other actor I mention.

So it is odd how it looks like him, but what is worse is that they have similar mannerisms too - as the away talking about look blankly and then right person for the last three words to really make his point. Transport Canada is that all the time. Or when he raises his eyebrows when he said things like "OK". It is much more, but I will refrain. I could dwell too much on this, and I confess I know too well of Mannerism of Tom Cruise, but I looked at him in the films for 30 years. There is a tendency to remember the quirks of the people - or at least make.

Anyway, back to the film. In all, something borrowed is just a good movie. (It is based on the novel of the same name written by Emily Griffin). It is neither here nor there. The main character, played by Ginnifer Goodwin, appeared to be the same character, it plays always - pathetic friend who obtained a dumping but attempts to do the right thing, even if it is not. Kate Hudson a kind of play a character who is not her usual, but he did remind me exactly his role in Bride Wars. She is selfish, search for attention and think that the world revolves around it. And these two people are supposed to be best friends?

Don't even get started me the role of Colin - you know what I think already except to say that his character was a WIMP. But I will say that the other male role in something borrowed, John Krasinski made this tolerable film. It is sweet, charming and funny. I therefore want to see more of this character, and something tells me that we may be. (FYI: If you see this - stay with credits).

My favorite part: John Krasinski. It was really a few funny lines.

My least favorites: I am not the best friend relationship where there is so much of themselves and the other gets walked on by them.

Previews show too? Yes and no. many funny lines have shown, but not all.

Rating: PG - 13
Duration: 103 minutes

Random thought: you see how I have been distracted by look-a-like, but my friend kept noticed how of different styles and colours were Kate Hudson of the character nails from scene to scene. I note that. Thus, we have all the things that distract us. Also, perhaps you like Tom Cruise and can take advantage of someone else looks and acts like him. Or you like nails... Thus, you'll like this film.

Review: 4 out of 10

Journal Technofiction of "Atlas Shrugged his: part" 2011

Summary

"Atlas shrugged his Ayn Rand" is a popular book since 1957. And it has always been recognized that it would be a beast film adaptation because it is a novel by page 1200 with deeply philosophical bent. Many spoke and proposed this project over the years, and now we finally have a success. The film was made, but it illustrates perfectly what a beast, the process was.

(Note: this 1200 pages is still more work that it sounds like today.) This has been done before even electric typewriter was common, much less text processing. By comparison, novel 1984 by George Orwell is 376 pages).

This film is very different, and if you need a structure of conventional Hollywood history at ease with your move view, this will be an uncomfortable film. I found myself waiting for things to happen, such as violence, which has never been.

Details

Do a quick summary of the book Atlas Shrugged his would be a bad service, but not in the film. It's history of Dagny Taggart, a young businesswoman, ambitious, as she tries to save the company of his family from the incompetent both sea railway his own business and Government and competition in his company. Help is Henry Reardon, another competent company that runs a steel company. He returned with a hot new alloy - Reardon Metal - which will record Dagny company making rail work better railway road, and after that, it will revolutionize the world.

As they save the day, they brush against a mystery: some other competent people around them are disappearing. Do not disappear of mystery-thriller-style typical - there is no Mafia or the murderers and abductors - they are simply leave their job and then completely drop out of the landscape. This disappearance is not at the Centre of this film, part I, but it is Foreshadowing what will happen in the second part.

One of the features of this film: it violates several conventional Hollywood history structures. That said, let's get in the review of the Technofiction:

o the first notable thing about this film is the story. It is presented as a thriller, but there is no violence. People walk through the streets dark lonely... and they are not sautéed. The wicked are get frustrated... but they do not call in the rogue. There are profound social unrest... but we do not see riots. A mysterious stranger knocks on a door towards the end of a night... and the door is to respond without disaster befalling the "answerer". We see a new line of railway with a new train speeding along it... and person sabotages it.

It's disturbing to look at, but this is what makes it a different story. I liked that.

o the second notable thing is that it is anachronistic - landscape and socializing are at the time. This film is described as taking place in 2016, but there are many public servants and little cell phones. The Director seemed to produce a social sense of the 1950s, not a future sense close.

o linked to the above, I do not feel that Dagny and Henry were working. They talked about much, we have given many of them in offices, but not as I watched the competent people, doing me business. Neither one seemed quite practical, problem of problems enough... it is difficult to describe, but they earn my respect for the company. Other hand, the incompetent surrounding seemed them well to make their incompetence.

o this film really need a beginning of mood. The departure is a series of bulletins of new talk of recession and crisis that is noticeable in America as the film opens in 2016, but it is quick and summary. Yeah, it would cut time Dagny-Reardon, but it takes more, Show me, Don ' t tell me "with regard to the economic hole deep America was in, and what was causing the frustration." The story would have been stronger if it was clearer than the Dagny environment and Henry responded to the.

o in the happy end, the train traffic on the metal rails new Reardon sets a North American speed record.

EH? Just replace the rail allows a train to run faster? What signage, curve drawings, drawings of locomotives and cars and Government regulations and speed limits? They have no influence?

In sum, the highlight of the film is that it is indicative of a different story. It is also because it uses the story of thriller format, but taking all threats of violence as it does. This is a movie strange feeling indeed.

And it is also its weakness. If you need a familiar story telling format when you watch a movie, it will be uncomfortable sitting around.

Criticism of film Khoon Maaf 7 2011

7 Khoon Maaf is a kind of thriller of action by maestro adaptation Vishal Bhardwaj, the film is based on a book "Susanna seven husband." Vishal has always fascinated the public by the pure script and performances power pack "omkara" and "kamine". 7 Khoon Maaf is that history turns character Susanna Anna Marie Johannes autour lead by Priyanka Chopra, married seven times for 35 years.

Chopra has established herself as an actress competent after blockbuster "Mode" and already seen in a negative role in the film "aitraaz" released in 2004. His role in the film won his first Filmfare Award and 7 Khoon Maaf is the next milestone in performance negative actress. As the characters of Priyanaka ends in 20 to 65 in this thriller of 120 minutes, Vishal hired awarded make-up artist Greg Cannom Oscar for these seven attention grabbing makeover Priyanka Chopra and in rumors that to create natural under the age of Priyanka Chopra, aid was grandmother of Priyanka snapshots. Twist in the tale arises by suspensive murder of her husband before the next, which makes it that more nail bitting and exciting history. The characters of different husbands of Priyanka Chopra are performed by seven different superstar of Bollywood. Neil Nithin Mukesh is a personal army that seem so dashing uniform version and the adolescent of the army of Priyanka Chopra fell in love with him. John Abhrahm is musician and good by creating soothing tunes which makes Priyanka Chopra go for him. Irfan Khan acted as poet in 7 Khoon Maaf, including poetic talent of autumn love Priyanaka him.

Shortly after suite Irfan is Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko a guy from Moscow. Soon after Aleksandr Dyachenko, Anu Kapoor a COP by profession enters the life Priyanka Chopra to solve this mysterious muders of her ex-husband and persuaded Priyanka Chopra to marry him so that he can dig the question. ANU Kapoor has been in the industry for past 30 years but the scene on the small screen for long period of time in the show "Antakshari", 7 Khoon Maaf is a return to Anu Kapoor to bollywood movies since her last appearance in "Raincoat", which received criticism from various publishers around the world. Naseruddin Shah is sixth husband doctor by profession and Priyanka Chopra has saved from melancholy. The seventh husband is still a mystery in the media, but sources close to Vishal noted to the son of Naseeruddin Shah Vivaan Shah, KonKona Sen is already in the crew of the film, who directed it more useful to look at.

The music is on the market and the buzz in stereo on roads and clubs. The song "darling" is already at the top of the charts on various music stations. 7 Khoon Maaf need to watch the movie supported by promising performances, foot tapping music and history exciting scripted adaptation of King Vishal Bhardwaj. Red Riding Hood 2011 review

Red Riding Hood is a missing thriller of fairy tale. It opened in March of this year and tried to tell the tale of the Red Riding Hood to adults. With Amanda Seyfried in the lead and trim more of $ 40 million budget, not much heck could go wrong, or so it seemed. It is a great interpretation of the famous fairy tale? Or is short, becoming one of the many disadvantages highly anticipated the fall film season, let's.

History

Red Riding Hood is set in medieval times in a small village, haunted by a werewolf. During this time, Valerie, a young girl played by Amanda Seyfried, falls in love with a "bad boy" called Peter. The problem is that his parents had put in place a marriage arranged with Henry Hima.

The first parcel comes quickly when a new King attempts to tackle the threat with the besieged city during the season of the Red Moon. From there the film becomes the public guessing game, they try to predict the killer in a human form. This is done by the Director by providing many tracks and awkward and exciting moments. The authors were not afraid to do radical things to arrive, which contributed to the advancement of history.

The acting of the Red Riding Hood is somewhat off the coast at times. The romantic lines, for example, are cringe worthy it becomes even more strange than the State of mind of the characters. Nevertheless, the main characters have delivered very decent performance, compensating for a few lines to convince at least in the film.

Presentation

In the first days of release of the HD, the films were very subject to noise in the darker scenes. Fortunately, this is fixed because there are many scenes Red Riding Hood dark. The remains of even during grain-free photo dark them era.

The overall level of detail is decent without excelling compared to other recent films of 1080p. Wheat in the country, in the scene of the fire, could have reflected more details to cite an example.

Special effects (especially the werewolf) look incredible and very persuasive. It could be very unnatural, even for a mythical creature, but has the visuals to match its character of murder.

Red Riding Hood offers the next generation of sound, conveniently dubbed: Dolby digital true-HD or DTS - HD unfortunately i was not near a set which supports these formats, so I had to withdraw to the traditional format of DTS. In this mode, the film to suggest fairways of the werewolf. They used 5 channels to extend much, accompanied by a satisfactory score of the film.

Conclusions

Red Riding Hood is a decent film with a fascinating history that leaves the audience to guess the 100-minute set, helped by strong and brave writes most of the time. The image is without breath any meaning out of the water, with the y with the best. All take into account leaves me with this: Watch Red Riding Hood is entertaining and time well spent, despite the minor issues here and there.

Film critic: Super 8 (2011)

Super 8 takes a winning formula and it is a replica of a degree of success, but very little originality finds its way in the film. Comparisons with other films are almost inevitable, and while the canon of Steven Spielberg will be certainly included, such diversion works against the overall entertainment value efforts Director J.J. Abrams. The child actors are spectacular and their juvenile exuberance keeps the excitement and adventure will even when the plot is not quite catch up. It is a pity that the rest of the film, especially the Monster does not provide an equal level of alertness. In fact, the link is the emergence of the foreign threat which is slowly revealed with the adage "less is more", but this tactic actually prevents the public perceive their own terrifying vision due to a striking resemblance to a rather famous creature of Abrams previous productions. Perhaps the premise intentionally fueled by nostalgia overcome many shortcomings of the film with the general public, but demanding critics are likely to brush aside the veil and see the heavy repetition just below the surface.

In a small town in Ohio, young Joe Lamb (Joel Courtney) attempts to move his life after the death of his mother, Elizabeth, in a mill accident. With his father, Assistant (Kyle Chandler) becoming more and more remote, Joe fills his time helping her best friend Charles (Riley Griffiths) create a Super 8 film for a film festival. When a train derails military and releases a unique force on the city without suspicion, Joe and his friends embark on the adventure of a lifetime to discover the shocking truth surrounding the catastrophic incident.

Super 8 would probably be great fun for anyone who has never seen a film by Steven Spielberg. Unfortunately for Abrams, who desperately wants to be the next Spielberg, almost everyone attended the magic of cinema of meetings of the third kind, the adventure of the Lost Ark, Saving Private Ryan Schindler list and more. However, Abrams chooses other films to copy: as Jaws, the monster is revealed very slowly; the creature prefers prey of torture such as Jurassic Park, in vehicles that it rolls across the street; and as the war of the worlds, the relationship between a single father and the child is distant, strained, and rife with misunderstanding. Borrowing from other films, Super 8 is also similar to the Goonies, the iron giant and more upsettingly, Cloverfield. The entire project is painfully and obviously derived.

As in countless films, military assumes the role of villain, the mysterious monstrosity is improperly assessed by the multitude and the Group of children is entirely too brave, adventurous, and lucky. One of the only skilled factors involves the use of the film-in-a-movie gimmick, which, by itself, is not unique. In this case, the student film is intentionally bad, offering plenty of humour. It also mimics the way the whole film is designed: Charlie adds a wife for the detective in his film to help the audience to care for the main character - in the same way, Alice becomes a love interest of Joe, (more attention on the relationship with his detached father); Alice is requested to cry on cue extra dramatic emotional - when she looks at the images of the mother of Joe, she cries truly; and when Charlie demands that they turn scenes with the wreckage of the train in the background for the value of production, it is parallel to the incredible amount of destruction, explosions and use of computer animation for the exotic colossus used generously in all.

Hanna (review 2011)

Directed by: Joe Wright

Release date: April 8, 2011

Featuring: Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett, Eric Bana

Director Joe Wright opened a promising for him since way pride and prejudice, the soloist and obviously named Oscar winning film, Atonement. But this time, Wright and actress Saoirse Ronan in the lead role of his colourful new spring 2011 release, Hanna.

The plot of the film, in which elements of Bourne trilogy leaving it worn and familiar than enough that anyone can follow, is quite simple. A young girl named Hanna and his former CIA agent father, Erik (played by Eric Bana), as in the relentless pursuit of the U.S. Government leak. I guess that justifies the brutal conditions under which a man raises his daughter, brutal it makes a habit of his attacker on a regular basis about insistence that it must learn to think on his feet. But Papa training is seen dividends when Hanna is finally captured by the CIA to be found, questioned by none other than the wife of his father, Marissa Wiegler (Cate Blanchett), which itself was formed to kill hunt. Hanna beats its free way with all the skills and cunning of a super soldier and escapes in the arid deserts of the Morocco, on his way to meet a friend of his father who expected in Berlin. While on the run she becomes friend with a girl named Sophie and the rest of his family, in which Hanna finds that, although it may be quite clever with various weapons and combat techniques, it has a way to go to learn what is to be a normal girl leading a normal life.

But in their kindness, family help Hanna in Berlin, unaware that they are being closely tail by the mercenary hired by Marissa to capture Hanna when she tries to kill Erik in Germany. The family is captured while Hanna escapes, while the boy is mistaken by revealing where it will, resulting in a confrontation ensues, and ends with Erik quickly associate killed, while she flees and disrupts Erik at the apartment of his grandmother murdered. It is then, and there she learns that Erik is not his father, but instead recruited agent mother in an operation secret CIA who changed the genetic construction of children to create a race of super soldiers who did not have empathy and would not disobey orders. Also, she learns that her mother was murdered while Erik tried to escape, as the project was considered a failure which called for the Elimination of every mother and child involved keeping the transaction classified.

But reconciliation is not much of an option when Marissa and her hired mercenary appear to complete the work. Erik manages to deflect attention away from Marissa, but only at the cost of his own life before she goes after Hanna. Hanna is hunted in an abandoned theme park, where she is forced into a final confrontation against the woman who has effectively ruined his life as the only person she considered family to kill. With improvised and superhuman combat tactics cunning, Hanna is finally able to turn the tables and avenge his lost family.

Although the plot rises painfully originality - the killer seeking revenge, the Government is having created said killer, the brutal killer is shown what love is - no way is unforgivable. Performance of Saoirse Ronan: Hanna is rather credible, not to mention how remarkable it transmits just the right amount of deaf human emotions in a character essentially written to thrive without them. For someone who has learned a multitude of languages and combat techniques before learning that electricity was Hanna utter fear and bewilderment of the world outside his fight cannot help but draw sympathetic strings. Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett dynamic in the film are well established through solid acting, even if the members of the public may feel a little felt the depth of character fields in black and white are written about as much subtlety as a slap in the face. And if these characters are not consuming action choreography is been published to a disorder of the shots at random, lights, and across a wall angles resembling an epileptic's worst nightmare.

But this is not to say that the film is not well beyond these defects. History is good pace with crisp action sequences that will give the public a satisfactory twitch Hanna unravels the mystery of its origin, and Erik returns to save the girl, that he never had. Production design and special effects are well done, and this time, The Chemical Brothers provide an appealing soundtrack, which remains my personal favorite element of the film. The music is riveting, rhythmic, and he transports you to the gun half and fist throw Hanna world seconds of listening. It was quite some time since I've actually seen the film, but I found still myself attracted to stalking the various music tracks I have inevitably repeat.

Overall, the film was well chosen and while the final outcome could have executed better written and tonic Edition, Joe Wright brings a range of pulse action and mystery that the imagination can cling to, if only for a few hours. Hanna is one of the best films of 2011 for the moment, and it is a promising mix of action, suspense and touching emotion as watch us a girl struggle to find a place between two completely different worlds.

Film critic: Transformers: dark of the Moon (2011)

If you look at the third film of the franchise film processors for any other reason than to see giant robots smash everything around them into small pieces, you'll probably disappointed. The plot is still more than a convoluted, melodramatic mess than its predecessor and a plethora of characters, human and the machines, leave the history a mish-mash of confusion of borrowed ideas - bad sci-fi flicks. Love infamous Michael Bay cameras slowed and renewable accents a gaff rolling eye which would not otherwise be also apparent and wishes of the creators to raise forces of increasingly large and badder action Transformers to orient to the Kingdom of the alienating unrealistic. At least the State-of-the-art special effects complement colossal automata - because few others do.

Although a Savior on two occasions of the Earth from the threat of the evil extraterrestrial race, points of Decepticons, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) again is unemployed and unable to contribute to ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of the planet. When an ancient Cybertronien device is discovered on Earth, the leader of the Autobots of the peace, Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) determines reactivate their previous leader, first Sentinel (Leonard Nimoy) to help protect the Decepticon Megatron (Hugo Weaving) intriguing technology. With the battle again return to the House, Sam, his former military allies, his new friend Carly (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) and intrepid Autobots must go to war against insurmountable to liberate their house in the total destruction.

Although Megan Fox was not the main appeal of the first film (it is true that she was the only thing left in the second useful look at characteristic), surprisingly, his replacement will cause audiences to miss his presence. Model-turned-one-time-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley adds nothing to the incredibly long project and his role is visually apparent with blows repeated fitted clothing, thin legs and pouty lips. It is almost as nagging as the characters continually fallen in the previous scenario outputs: John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel is no longer a purpose, but are brought to a wider distribution, recognizable (and perhaps contractual).

New additions are certainly not better. John Malkovich, Alan Tudyk and Ken Jeong are among the most remarkable, all inserted purely for comic relief - the element a film could not possibly less use transformers. Their characters are part of a series of bizarre inclusions which continue to stretch the limits of weirdness of the Transformers universe - with alterations in childish presidential footage, Witwicky, shouting speech slowed and ridiculous overdramatic destined to be vibrant. That are abundant clichés - Director of National Intelligence a female insistent on the preaching of jargon in the chain of command and barking of orders in the deaf ear, stagey properties asking before and after the fighting, a sequence of destructive on a highway chase, a businessman confident, incredibly rich that interferes with Sam self-esteem and a final battleEPIC, argued that spans more than 30 minutes.

It is only the third film and writer Ehren Kruger had completely exhausted his ideas, that Director while Michael Bay proves once again that his obsession with the camera moving in circles around players and slow movement can ruin at any time. The Edition remains incredibly boring, while the choreography continues to be too complex, largely indistinguishable robots and comprehensive action. Transformers has more fun.
